Australia is finally going to open for everyone. It’s been 2-years of a long-running pandemic, borders shut down, and continuous lockdown. Australian PM Scott Morrison hints about border reopening regardless of the visa category and despite the highly transmissible Omicron Variant of COVID-19. 

Fully-vaccinated tourists can travel to Australia from February 21, 2022. This announcement shows the positive attitude of Australia towards inviting travelers from around the world.

“It’s almost two years since we took the decision to close the borders to Australia,” Morrison said. “Australia will reopen our borders to all remaining visa holders on the 21st of February of this year.”
